Panthers’ Jokinen and ADT Team Up For Charity
Jokinen and ADT will donate $2,000 for every home goal and $1,000 per assist

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and the Florida Panthers announced today that Pillar Partner ADT Security Services will combine with Cats Captain Olli Jokinen to donate $2,000 for every home goal and $1,000 for every home assist Jokinen scores this season as part of a Charitable Match Program.

“First of all I would like to thank ADT for being so generous in supporting the youth of the South Florida community,” Jokinen said. “Children are our future and it is important that we use our privileged position to provide aid and support wherever possible.”

Jokinen will personally donate $1,000 for every home goal and $500 for every home assist to a local South Florida charity while ADT will match Jokinen’s donation dollar for dollar during the 2007-08 Florida Panthers season.

Last year, Jokinen helped raise $42,000 for the JAFCO Children’s Foundation and the American Cancer Society’s R.O.C.K Program. Jokinen personally pledged $500 for every home goal and $250 for every home assist, as he finished the 2006-07 season with 26 goals and 32 assists at the BankAtlantic Center.

On Thursday, April 26, during a check presentation at the BankAtlantic Center, Jokinen vowed that he would double his donation in 2007-08 if an organization would volunteer to match his contribution. That’s when ADT Security Services stepped to the table to continue to support the South Florida community.
