Easton Hockey Creates Revolutionary New Stealth™ S17 Stick
Top of the line stick emphasizes energy, velocity and accuracy

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Easton Hockey, the designer and manufacturer of the No. 1 stick in the NHL, has introduced the Stealth™ S17 stick, the most technologically advanced stick on the market.  NHL superstars such as Ottawa right wing Dany Heatley, Minnesota right wing Marian Gaborik and Anaheim center Ryan Getzlaf are enjoying the stick’s new technology right from the start. With the Stealth S17, Easton has produced an industry-first elliptical design, according to Ned Goldsmith, vice president of Easton Hockey.

"There is no other stick like this in the world," said Goldsmith.  "As soon as you pick it up you can tell it is something special – not only because of the phenomenal balance, but because of the totally unique shape through the elliptical section.  We can hardly make them fast enough."

Easton’s Stealth S17 focuses on three main qualities vital to every hockey player: energy, velocity and accuracy.

The compression molded process used in constructing the Stealth S17 delivers the most consistent shaft in hockey, maximizing the energy transfer from your hands to the blade and thereby providing a more powerful shot. Meanwhile, the innovative TORX™ technology features an Elliptical Profile (patent pending) to help transfer torque from your hands to the blade for unsurpassed velocity.

Easton’s patented Micro-Bladder process and Multi-Rib structure controls blade flex through puck contact to ensure maximum accuracy.

"If I could hit a one foot corner of the net on a one timer before, I can hit a six inch corner now," said Ottawa right wing Dany Heatley.  I’ve never been more accurate or shot harder.  I love it."

The Stealth™ S17 will be introduced in five unique patterns (Sakic, Forsberg, Lidstrom, Iginla and Iginla Jr) in both grip and non-grip models.  All models will be available at retail stores beginning November, 2007.

Easton Launches Micro-Site

Easton Hockey has announced the launch of www.EastonHockey.com/S17, a micro-site completely dedicated to the all-new technologically advanced Stealth S17 hockey stick.  Complete with video, detailed graphics, technology descriptions, a variety of action photos, and a co-marketed Hollywood Records soundtrack, the micro-site is being launched to coincide with the highly anticipated introduction of the Stealth S17 stick, according to Kyle Horn, director of marketing for Easton Hockey.

"The site encompasses the attributes and personality that we see in the S17 stick.  A micro-site dedicated to one specific product is a first for us, as is a performance stick with an elliptical profile design – both of which play into the overwhelming demand from players and retailers alike," Horn said.

"There’s been a lot of buzz around the S17 and this site provides answers to a lot of questions. We wanted to provide the information in a personal manner – one where the consumer can see and hear what the stick offers – not only from a technological standpoint, but more so directly from a few of our NHL stars.  Who knows better than the world’s best players?"
Along with exclusive interviews and action footage of Minnesota Wild right winger Marian Gaborik, Anaheim Ducks’ center Ryan Getzlaf, New Jersey Devils’ center Zach Parise and back-to-back 50-goal scorer Ottawa Senators’ right winger Dany Heatley, the site focuses on the three revolutionary attributes of the new stick: Energy, Velocity, and Accuracy.  These three qualities are highlighted throughout the site and provide the backbone of why the new S17 is the most technologically advanced stick ever produced.

Along with all the information, the S17 micro-site will host sweepstakes and giveaways throughout the season. Prizes will include customized S17 sticks, Easton gear and a variety of other giveaways.
