The Georgia Tech Hockey Club announces a new affiliation with the Cooler ice rink as the team’s new home game and practice venue. The Cooler, part of the Alpharetta Family Skate Center, 10800 Davis Dr, is the premier ice facility in the metro Atlanta area.

Long known throughout the Southeast and into Canada as home of the Atlanta Fire youth travel teams, Tech returns to the Cooler after a five-year absence.

The first game of the ’07-’08 season will be Fri, Oct 19 against No. 6 Loyola.
All weekend games start at 9pm.

The game is the opener to the Georgia Tech Homecoming Weekend,
as the Army football team visits the downtown stadium Saturday.

Sunday morning, the GT hockey alumni game takes place at the Cooler.

Admission is free to all games except the UGA game Nov 16.

Donations to fund the Club are encouraged and accepted at all games.

The official hotel of GT hockey will be Hilton’s Homewood Suites, located at 10775 Davis Dr. Out-of-town fans and visiting teams will be offered a special GT Hockey rate at the hotel.

North Pointe Mall, a movie theater, and many restaurant choices are within walking distance.
